Vroooom. Beep Beep!

When the Chevy Chevette first came out I was 15 years old I thought they were pretty darn cute. The Chevrolet Chevette was introduced in September 1975 and manufactured for model years 1976-1987 based on GM's worldwide T platform and superseding the Vega as Chevrolet's entry-level subcompact. The Chevette was the best-selling small car in America for 1979 and 1980. All models were fitted with independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering, and servo assisted dual circuit brakes. Standard equipment at launch included 2 speed fan (wow), radial tires (not those old bias ply tires), reversing lamps (fancy way of saying back-up lights), heated rear window (how deluxe), and reclining front seats (great for submarine race viewing), and if you wanted you could put aluminum wheels on to be super bitchen. Cars have come a long way baby, and now the Chevette is cool because it is retro and gets great gas mileage, good luck finding one though.

Chevette will be the name of our new little foster pup. Three month old little female cutie pie......vroom vroom. Coming Dec 15th, stay tuned!
