What I Did On My Very First Vacation. Fort Stevens State Park part 2

To make good on our promise from the prior blog post, we found another trail and it led out to the wonderful beach the dogs had been itching to check out! We had never been on this beach before and it was really great!

We took a long look from the top of the bluff before heading back down to find a trail that would lead us to the beach below. I know this beach will be very busy this summer with lots and lots of visitors, but this day it was like a magical beach waiting just for us. It was truly a soul nourishing time for us to have it all for ourselves.

The dogs are ready to be on the move and ready to explore the new trail we will take to the sand and surf.

Tim must have run up and back 10 times to our one, he was just ecstatic about the trail.

And the trail led to this beach!

The temps were mild, really perfect for us, low 60's, a little overcast but very interesting sky.

Tim leaves his sweet little paw prints on the sand in front of us...

Timken print :)

After our fun adventure we had lunch at a wonderful Bosnian restaurant in Astoria, Drina Daisy Bosnian Restaurant, it was wonderful and a great way to finish off a perfect day.

If you have been wondering what the girls, Birdie and Liza, had been up to...

Snuggling with their wonderful pet sitter. These girls got to sleep in bed with the family, go for walks, and get all kinds of attention lavished on them.We missed them terribly though.

Birdie doing one of the things she does best....burrowing for a long nap.

The other thing Birdie loves is sunbathing and she got plenty of that too!
Tim's first vacation is not quite over yet, still more to come...
