The Local Pond

I found a long lost blog post that I had never published. These pictures are from back in April when we were still fostering Tesla. She even makes a couple of appearances in these photos but mainly this is about the fun that Skip, Tim, and Liza had at the pond that is on one of the walks we sometimes take close to our house.

Beyond this brush is a small wetland pond. As soon as we get in the vicinity of this little water oasis Skip and Tim following our little scout dog Liza break away from our human-dog pack to check out what is happening in and near the water.

Skip likes to always look for sticks he can rescue from the water.

Tim got brave and decided to walk out on this log with Skip.

They have a nice quiet moment together.

Skip calling to the water asking if it has a stick that needs rescue. Tim wonders what is so fun about finding a stick to pull out of the water.

Skip sees something so tries to get a closer look without falling in.

Back around to where we are Skip decides to try a different approach.

And he did it! He found this stick that surely was drowning without his help.

Liza is on the scene...

What will she do?

Liza to the rescue! Another stick is saved from certain doom.

Then it was off for more exploring, can you see where Skip and Liza are?

There they are! They loved walking way out on this downed tree and no one fell in.

Sweet little Jenny was very patient with the younger dogs who wanted to play, she just stood for a while on a little stump looking cute as a bug's ear.
