Quick Neon Pupdate!

Neon went to her furever home yesterday! I got a first day update from her mom, which was so nice to get. She is settling in nicely and her name is Rowan! Rowan is Gaelic for Little Red One. Awwww that is so sweet. :) Here is a picture of Rowan and her new fursister Aela taking a nap.

I think some girlie girls were tired from their first hours together. So sweet.

Yup that's right! Neon has been adopted and she is going to be heading home to Seattle in a few days. She will have a mom, dad, and fursister named Aela. Aela is a New Rattitude alumni and she was known in foster care as Sidney.

They will all be living in a wonderful dog friendly apt. There will be lots of human and canine friends in her life. There will be walks in the city and hikes in the mountains. Neon you hit the jackpot little girl!

Here is Aela when she was in foster care as a little puppy girl like Neon! She and Neon have very similar coloring.

Here is Aela all growed up, she is sooo cute!

We are so happy for Neon and her new family. Happy Tails everyone!

Stay tuned for one more Timken-Neon blog post.....

Timken and Neon In The Afternoon

Yesterday I posted about Tim and Neon and their tandem morning chew session. Once they ate breakfast and then had some fun tearing around the yard they came back in the house for their afternoon relaxation time. It seems that they are always together lately. They even like to snuggle on my lap together. It is very sweet.

Getting drowsy...

Tim watches Neon catch some Zzzzzzzzzz

After their afternoon naps, such gorgeous dogs..

Tim and Neon Get Their Morning Chew On.

Neon has been so good for Tim, she has really great dog skills with him and even though some of the things he does some dogs might be annoyed by, Neon never really seems too bothered by it. If she is annoyed she just moves away or seems to have a way to let him know he needs to stop. But all in all I really never see anything but two young dogs enjoying each others company.

Every morning when I let them out of their crates they are so excited to greet the day and get their morning lovin's. Our dogs usually sleep in or come downstairs and get back into dog beds and wait for breakfast, but Tim and Neon are ready to play. This morning Neon was gnawing on a Pink Ellie and Tim brought over an antler and was so cute as he kept trying to get really close to her while he chewed on it.

Tim is chewing on the antler. This antler has been in the house a long time and has never gotten much action. Then I had given it to Neon to redirect her from chewing things she wasn't supposed to chew and all of a sudden it seems to be a hit with quite a few of the dogs.

Tim still trying to get close to Neon in some way. He very often uses this stance to chew, not sure what it means exactly but he has always done it this way.

I wasn't sure if they would argue over trying to both chew the antler but they resolved it peacefully.

They went back to their original chewing positions...

Neon decided she wanted the antler, and Tim wants it too. He is a little concerned (tail slightly tucked) and she is thinking she really wants it, trying to push him away...

But then they decide to try chewing together and Tim relaxes and no arguing happened.

Tim lost interest for a bit and so Neon decided to take over chewing Mr Antler while resting on Miss Pink Ellie

Then Neon lost interest and Tim took over with Antler again.

I love to chew you Antler.....

Cute Picture Mash Up

As you can imagine I take a ton of pictures, then out of that myriad I will only have a few good ones. Sometimes I forget I have edited a bunch of pictures, then I find them later. I am just going to make this a cute picture blog post mash up!

Liza loves her snuggly things....

Neon drug a bunch of toys over then fell asleep in the sun....

I always love a good one ear up one ear down picture. Skip

Timken showing what a handsome boy he is....

Sweet picture of Tim and Jenny-Boo

In case you were wondering where Timken got his name!

Tim getting up the courage to go rock jumping and cross a small stream. Love his heart spot :)

Dogs lounging....

This cracks me up. It is not that Tim and Birdie like to sleep like this. Tim was in the bed, Birdie wanted in, Tim didn't want to move, so Birdie got in on top of him.

Neon checking on me while I am on the computer...

OSKAR Pupdate!!!!

For all the Oskar fans out there here is a pupdate for you!

I got a wonderful newsie text and picture of Oskar and his mom this morning. It is always such a thrill to get a pupdate from an adopter!

Oskar is The Man of the house now. His big furbrother Max went to Rainbow Bridge a few months ago. His mom thought she would like to adopt another doggie but she has decided that she and Oskar are such a good team. Although they are missing Max terribly, Oskar is enjoying all his mom's attention right now. They are planning a move to a place closer to her work place, there will be trails to walk on, and they even have some road tips planned. The happy tail just keeps wagging along and I am so happy for Oskar to have such a loving mama. :)

Puppy Toofies and Teething

Up until this morning, little Neon had not been too interested in chewing on inappropriate things, well plants don't count right? What I mean is she had not REALLY gotten into chewing in a serious way. But she is a puppy so I was a bit perplexed and happy about this. Well this morning that all changed and I think it must be that she is growing some new toofies, so chewing is a nice way to soothe that. Luckily she is easily redirected but I will still need to be on my toes to keep an eye on her puppy girl self. :)

First thing was I noticed her chewing on a piece of foam packaging. She started down stairs with it but when I asked her what she was doing, she decided to take it upstairs to have some privacy.

Aww dang it foster mom, I thought I was hiding from you.

I NEED to do this a little more.

Aren't I adorable?

That kibble I traded you for was ok, but I would really like to have that foam back foster mom...

Look at me now! Am I being cute enough to get the foam back?

Ok no foam, I guess this dog food dish you left on the floor will work.

nom nom...this antler is a pretty good thing to chew.

Thanks foster mom for giving me something I can chew as much as I need to!
